Fiber Jumper Patch Cables

Fiber Jumper Patch Cables are a special type of fiber optic cable used in fiber optic networks to connect fiber optic devices to each other. They are often called “patch cables”, but also “patch cords”, “fiber jumpers” or “fiber patch cords”.

These cables are used to connect fiber optic devices such as fiber optic switches, routers, fiber modems, etc., as well as fiber optic panels, patch panels or other devices. Their purpose is to provide flexible connectivity in a fiber optic network, allowing administrators to connect, reconnect, or adjust fiber paths in the network as needed.

Fiber Jumper Patch Cables typically have a fiber optic core, outer jacket and connector ends. The connector type can be various types of fiber optic connectors such as SC, LC, ST, etc., depending on the equipment being connected and the requirements of the network. The outer sheath is usually selected with different characteristics depending on the need, such as LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) outer sheath, OFNP (Optical Fiber Non-Conductive Ducting) outer sheath, and so on.

These fiber optic connectors are typically available for singlemode and multimode fibers and are available in different length options to meet the needs of specific applications.
