800G QSFP-DD/OSFP

800G QSFP-DD/OSFP is an optical module for ultra-high speed network connectivity that supports data rates up to 800Gbps per port. QSFP-DD and OSFP (Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable) are both standards for high-density optical modules to meet the growing demand for data transmission.

  • QSFP-DD: Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Double Density, is the double density version of QSFP. It has a higher port density because it achieves double the number of pins in the same size. This makes it possible to provide more ports in the same space, thus increasing network capacity and efficiency in data centers.
  • OSFP: Octal Small Form-factor Pluggable, is a new standard for high-density optical modules. It is designed to support higher data rates and higher bandwidth density. Compared to QSFP-DD, OSFP offers a higher number of pins, making it possible to achieve higher bandwidth density in a smaller space.

These ultra-high-speed optical modules are typically used to connect high-performance computing systems with huge data-processing requirements, hyperscale Internet data centers, 5G/6G networks, and other scenarios that require high-speed data transmission. They typically use multimode fiber (MMF) or single-mode fiber (SMF) transmission media and support standard fiber-optic connection interfaces such as LC or MPO.
