40G QSFP+ Breakout DAC
The 40G QSFP+ Breakout DAC is a connectivity solution for high-speed data transmission that is primarily used to break a 40Gbps QSFP+ (Quad Small Form-factor Pluggable Plus) port into multiple independent 10Gbps ports.
In some network configurations, it may be necessary to break a high-bandwidth 40Gbps port into multiple lower-bandwidth 10Gbps ports to connect to multiple devices or to achieve a more flexible network topology. 40G QSFP+ Breakout DACs are a type of direct-attach cable (DAC, Direct Attach Cable) under the QSFP+ interface specification. which is used for high-speed data transmission over short distances.
This type of DAC uses copper conductors to transmit data signals and is typically used for in-rack connections or connections between neighboring devices. 40G QSFP+ Breakout DACs have a QSFP+ plug on one port and multiple smaller SFP+ (Small Form-factor Pluggable) plugs on the other end, each corresponding to a 10Gbps data channel. This design allows them to break up the total 40Gbps bandwidth into multiple independent 10Gbps connections to meet specific network connectivity needs.
