FTTH Drop Cables

FTTH Drop Cables (Fiber to the Home Drop Cables) are a special type of fiber optic cable used in Fiber to the Home (FTTH, Fiber to the Home) networks. They are used to connect the last segment of a fiber optic communications network between the backbone network (usually a fiber distribution cabinet) and the subscriber’s home or building in order to provide high-speed Internet access, video transmission, and other communications services.

FTTH Drop Cables usually consist of one or more fiber optic cores that are flexible, lightweight, and easily bendable, facilitating wiring and installation in outdoor environments. They typically have the following characteristics:

1. UV-resistant jacket: Since they are usually required to be used in outdoor environments, FTTH Drop Cables usually have a weather-resistant jacket that resists the effects of UV rays and other natural elements.
2. Water and Moisture Resistant: In order to protect the optical fiber from moisture and humidity, these cables are usually designed to be water and moisture resistant to ensure stable transmission of optical signals.
3. Easy to Install: FTTH Drop Cables are usually designed to be easy to install and maintain to reduce network deployment and maintenance costs.
