CEx: Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing is an optical communication technology used to transmit multiple optical signals of different wavelengths over an optical fiber at the same time.CEx usually has a large wavelength spacing, usually between 20 nm and 30 nm.

PON: Passive Optical Network is a fiber-optic communication technology for access networks, typically used to connect a fiber-optic network to a subscriber’s home or business. a PON system consists of a central OLT (Optical Line Terminal) and multiple ONUs (Optical Network Units).
