PON Fiber Splitters

The PON Fiber Splitter is a passive device used in Passive Optical Networks (PON) to distribute optical signals from the central office (OLT) to multiple end-user devices (ONU/ONT). It uses optical splitting technology to divide a single input signal into multiple output channels, with common split ratios of 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32. Depending on the type, PON Fiber Splitters include Planar Lightwave Circuit (PLC) splitters and Fused Biconical Taper (FBT) splitters, which are suited for large networks and small-scale applications, respectively. Mainly applied in PON and Fiber to the Home (FTTH) systems, the splitter efficiently distributes signals, saving fiber resources and infrastructure costs. As a passive device, it requires no power, offering low cost, easy maintenance, and efficient signal distribution, making it a crucial component in modern fiber-optic communication networks.
