In today’s data center and telecommunications environments, the optical network is crucial for communication, data transmission, and protection. What sets your optical network apart from the competition? How can the design and performance of your data/telecom environment enhance profitability while ensuring reliability and uptime? FiberLife’s Ultra High Density Solutions provide the answer, with industry-engineered pre-terminated optical cabling systems that elevate your data/telecom environment to new heights.
The demand for fiber optic connectors is increasing as we transition from single-mode to multimode fiber and from 10G to 40G and 100G. Ethernet transmission at these higher rates is becoming the norm in data center cabling systems. Traditional connectors struggle to meet the requirements for multi-fiber and high-performance connections. FiberLife addresses this with a high-density MTP/MPO cabling solution that aligns with international standards for 40G and 100G Ethernet transmission.
Our MTP/MPO connectors are standard mini, high-density options, equipped with multi-core ribbon fiber for stable and reliable connections. Factory-completed connections and testing of high-density connectors with ribbon cables allow for direct plug-and-play with equipment on site, supporting rapid deployment in user data centers. This makes the MTP/MPO cabling system an ideal solution for data centers with growing high-capacity cabling demands. The system features simple installation, fast construction, compact design, high precision, and plug-and-play functionality.
Fiber Connectivity in Data Centers:
FiberLife offers a wide range of high-density patch panels and fiber enclosures designed to maximize rack space efficiency. Our 24-fiber MTP cabling systems provide double the density in enclosures compared to legacy 12-fiber cabling, reducing the number of cable pathways needed. High-capacity cable management solutions facilitate the routing of additional networks, improving overhead space and accessibility.
High Density MTP/MPO Cassette System:
The High Density MTP/MPO cassette system is compatible with a 1U 5-slot modular chassis, scaling up to 120 discrete fibers in a 1U space. These cassettes provide a secure transition between MTP/MPO and LC or SC discrete connectors, ideal for interconnecting MTP/MPO backbones with LC or SC patching. Modular systems enable rapid deployment of high-density data center infrastructure and streamline troubleshooting and reconfiguration during moves, adds, and changes.
MTP/MPO Cassette Features:
FiberLife’s cassettes feature a rear bottom tray that slides inward for easy access to the connectivity, even when enclosures are stacked. This design offers best-in-class accessibility compared to other high-density fiber enclosures on the market. When in the out position, the rear tray serves as a cable partition between stacked enclosures. Low-Loss Plug and Play Modules can be easily inserted or removed from either the front or rear of the enclosure. The visually appealing, easy-open magnetic door eliminates harmful pinch points and offers high-visibility drop-down labeling.
Available in OM4 multimode and singlemode, our ultra-slim LC-to-MTP Low-Loss Plug and Play modules deliver the industry’s lowest loss performance of 0.35dB for flexible fiber channels. Fully ready to support 40 and 100 gigabit applications, FiberLife’s low-loss 0.2dB MTP pass-through adapters come in 2, 4, and 6-port designs. They are offered in both aligned and opposed key orientations to accommodate all polarity methods. FiberLife also supports 12-fiber LC pass-through adapter plates for current 10 gigabit Ethernet or Fibre Channel SAN applications.
“As high-density data centers transition from 10 to 40 and 100 gigabit speeds, they require low-loss fiber connectivity to support multiple mated connections for flexible patching options over a wide range of distances and configurations, all while staying within link loss budgets,” explains Charlie Maynard, Fiber Optic Product Manager at Siemon’s global headquarters. “At the same time, these connections need to be easily accessed and managed to make changes quickly and effectively. With superior best-in-class features, our new Ultra High Density Fiber System is uniquely positioned to overcome current and future fiber connectivity challenges.”
