Dual Fiber DWDM Mux Demux

Dual Fiber DWDM Mux Demux (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing Multiplexer/Demultiplexer) is an optical communication device designed to increase network transmission capacity and efficiency by multiplexing and demultiplexing multiple wavelengths of light over two optical fibers. It combines multiple optical signals of different wavelengths into a single transmitting fiber and separates the mixed optical signals into multiple wavelengths at the receiving end. Its main features include using two fibers for independent sending and receiving, reducing interference and loss; supporting the transmission of multiple wavelengths over a single fiber, significantly increasing data transmission capacity; and being suitable for long-distance transmission, covering hundreds of kilometers or more. This device is widely used in data center interconnection, long-distance transmission networks, and telecommunications networks, providing high-bandwidth, low-latency connections and reliable communication solutions. Its structure includes input and output ports, fiber interfaces (such as LC, SC, etc.), and wavelength separators. By using multiplexing technology, it achieves high-capacity data transmission with limited fiber resources, saving fiber costs and meeting the growing demand for data transmission.

For duplex mux & demux, we make separate ABS package as default. Like the picture on the left shows, there are two separate ABS boxes, one is for packaging the wavelength channels of mux, and the other for the wavelength channels of demux.

While we can also provide combinative ABS package like the picture on the right, mux and demux are packaged all together in one ABS box which save space without affecting the usage and function.It’s very convenient to package mux & demux in one ABS box for duplex wavelength channels like 2 channels, 4 channels…9 channels, but for 16 channels and 18 channels, we recommend you choosing 1U rack mount since ABS box may not be enough for packaging so much channels.

Four Connectors for Custom-tailored Installations

1U Rack Mount and FMU Plug-in Module Mux/Demux can be customized with LC and SC connectors, while ABS Pigtailed Module Mux/Demux supports LC, SC, ST and FC connectors.
